Itzhak Katzenelson: Accomplished Author, Dramatist, and Educator

Before the German occupation of Poland, Itzhak Katzenelson (1886-1944) contributed greatly toward the vibrant Jewish culture in Lodz, Poland, through establishing a Jewish school, a Hebrew theater company, writing poetry, plays, and childrens’ books. While living in the Warsaw Ghetto, he continued to write, composing more than 40 works, most of which were written in Yiddish. This biography of Katzenelson explains more about his creative works before and during the Holocaust.
