This brief documentary film [06:45], published by the Jewish Partisan Educational Foundation, tells the heroic story of how the Bielski brothers started the Bielski partisan group in the forests of Western Belorussia. At first their group just comprised family members, but they subsequently opened the group to others Jews looking to fight or for protection, ultimately saving more than 1,200 Jewish lives.
